Nightingale Awards of Pennsylvania seeks broader
support from organizations as well as individuals
across the state. To guarantee optimal care for
generations to come, funding for education and
recognition of Pennsylvania’s nurses must be
increased. Therefore, the foundation has launched a
campaign to increase its capacity to provide nursing
scholarships and recognition for those seeking
careers in nursing and to support continued learning
for the evolving and growing professional
practitioners of nursing.
By supporting Nightingale Awards of Pennsylvania,
corporations, foundations, and individuals will
demonstrate support for the nursing profession and
society as a whole. Increased financial support for
nurses such as that provided by Nightingale Awards
of Pennsylvania stimulates interest in nursing as a
career, furnishes needed funding for recruiting and
preparing a culturally diverse profession, enhances
the retention of nurses, recognizes excellence, and
provides a needed vehicle for re-education and
re-training of the nurse workforce to meet the
evolving needs of health care service delivery in
Pennsylvania. Nurses make a huge difference! With
