Selection Process

Maintaining anonymity throughout the process, our online submission software codes the submissions and blocks any demographic information so reviewers remain unbiased. Each nomination is reviewed by specialized sub-committees of the Awards Committee. Sub-committee members represent seasoned professionals in each of the identified nursing categories. Each individual reviewer scores the nomination, using criteria established for each category. The top scoring nominations are reviewed again by the Committee Co-Chairs. Finally, the highest scoring nominations in each category are identified as finalists. The highest scoring finalist is the reward recipient. The award recipients’ names are a closely held secret until the evening of the Gala when the announcement is made during the presentation ceremonies.
